I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
